The gap between the dock and the truck bed is where loading slows down and accidents happen. A dock leveller closes it.
What it does
A hinged platform with a lip bridges the height difference between the dock floor and the vehicle — up or down — so forklifts and pallet trucks roll straight into the truck.
Types
- Hydraulic pit-mounted — push-button operation, capacities up to 25 ton, ideal for high-traffic docks.
- Mechanical / edge-of-dock — spring assisted, lower cost, suited to lighter traffic and smaller height differences.
Benefits
- Faster turnaround per vehicle
- No improvised steel plates that slip or bend
- Reduced forklift tyre and axle damage
- Toe guards, maintenance strut and anti-slip deck improve safety
Sizing
Measure your dock height, the range of vehicle bed heights you receive, and the heaviest forklift plus load that will cross the leveller. Our team will recommend the platform size and capacity.
